Objective – The community wall is a screen used to entertain and inspire customers as they browse, wait or are served in a relaxed “swimming pool” themed area.
My role – I led the Holiday Design Store (HDS) project from inception, strategy and business case, to design, technological development, training, delivery and promotion; engaging people around the business to help deliver the end result, but with only one IT project manager fully assigned to the job.
Note: I worked with 2020 to design the concept and Omnifi who developed the required software.
Solution – The community screen is a multi-functional screen, with holiday top ten lists, useful tips from staff and reviews from customers and Tripadvisor, combined with live weather and social media feeds adding credibility and beautiful videos of destinations you might not have previously considered. This screen can also be used for presentations and special events.
Outcome – The multi-functional screen is used for staff training and instore events for focused promotion.
