Objective – the interactive table provides different ways to search for holidays whether customers want to narrow or widen their search .
My role – I led the Holiday Design Store (HDS) project from inception, strategy and business case, to design, technological development, training, delivery and promotion; engaging people around the business to help deliver the end result, but with only one IT project manager fully assigned to the job.
Note: I worked with 2020 to design the concept and Omnifi who developed the required software. I personally created the logarithm for the image based search.
Solution – The interactive table gives customers access to a range of ways to search for their holiday whether that is geographic (map) or logical (facility based) searches which narrow their options or an inspirational, imaged based search which widens their choice and introduces different products. The interactive table can be used with or without assistance from staff and allows customers to hone their requirements prior to sitting down with an advisor.
Outcome – The interactive table changes how customers shop, it is easy/intuitive to use with a choice of ways to browse and search content, it also allows staff to interact and build more rapport by asking engaging and open questions about their holiday needs.
